The group specializes in exploring how amphiphilic bioactive molecules function structurally and creating innovative biomaterials. This multidisciplinary team combines expertise from various fields such as biology (including cell biology and microbiology), chemistry (encompassing biochemistry and synthetic chemistry), physics (covering biophysics and nanophysics), and computational modeling to: Examine how helical peptides and similar bioactive amphiphilic compounds operate and pinpoint their molecular targets Conduct structure-activity research to enhance the antimicrobial effects and cancer-fighting potential of membrane-interactive amphiphilic compounds Create computational techniques for recognizing and evaluating crucial functional traits of medically relevant amphiphilic molecules.
