Our research group specializes in exploring the connection between structure and function in amphiphilic bioactive compounds, along with developing innovative biomaterials. This interdisciplinary team combines expertise from various fields such as biology (including cell biology and microbiology), chemistry (encompassing biochemistry and synthetic chemistry), physics (covering biophysics and nanophysics), and computational modeling to: Examine how helical peptides and other bioactive amphiphilic molecules function and determine their molecular targets Conduct structure-activity research to enhance the antimicrobial effects and cancer-fighting potential of membrane-interactive amphiphilic compounds Create computational approaches for detecting and evaluating crucial functional properties of medically relevant amphiphilic molecules.
