Our BSc Pharmacology program delves into these topics and beyond. Our faculty members are actively engaged in research and are recognized authorities in their fields, with affiliations to prestigious organizations such as the British Pharmacological Society, Biochemical Society, British Neuroscience Association, and British Neuro-Oncology Society. This hands-on pharmacology degree examines drug interactions with the human body. You'll investigate how diseases impact normal bodily functions, thoroughly study drug effects on physiological processes, and work to restore healthy function in various disease states. The curriculum covers drug origins and development processes, with ample practical opportunities to examine how pharmaceuticals interact with biological systems at molecular, cellular, and organismal levels. This pharmacology bachelor's degree equips students for industry careers and provides excellent preparation for graduate studies or academic drug research positions. Many alumni pursue advanced degrees (MSc, medical/dental programs) or research opportunities (MRes, PhD, or industry roles).
