Our introductory Medical Sciences program serves as a stepping stone, equipping you to advance into competitive graduate programs like medicine, dental therapy, physician associate studies, pharmacy, and other professional degrees. During the initial phase of this three-year Medical Sciences curriculum, you'll study at our excellent Burnley Campus. The program explores how bodily systems, from cellular processes upward, collaborate to sustain normal function and health, while enhancing medical-specific language and communication abilities. Our committed faculty will support your transition to university-level learning. The curriculum examines clinical and pathological mechanisms at both patient care and molecular scales. You'll also discover how medical and scientific evidence is established, while gaining introductory research skills and project management techniques. This program provides the foundational year for our Medical Sciences degree, with opportunities to apply for various advanced courses detailed later.
