This program is tailored for both practicing and recently certified podiatrists seeking career advancement by broadening their expertise in specialized fields of the profession. It allows participants to concentrate on podiatric specialties such as musculoskeletal care or chronic condition management, while also strengthening fundamental competencies in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
Full-time students will complete a clinical practice module, gaining hands-on experience through the university's podiatry clinic and a 17-week external placement.
Instruction is provided by academic staff who maintain active clinical practices and conduct research in their respective specialties.
The curriculum facilitates skill enhancement through elective modules covering injection therapy, independent prescribing, diagnostic imaging, forensic podiatry, wound management, and tissue viability.
