This professionally accredited program provides specialized training to help you prevent, evaluate, diagnose, and manage sports-related injuries and physical activity conditions. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning while integrating theoretical knowledge to support clinical decision-making. Practical application is central to the program, with skill development through real-world case studies, hands-on training at our Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinic, and Community Exercise Clinics. You'll gain valuable experience through industry placements, working alongside professionals with athletes, general public clients, and clinical patients. What you'll learn During your first semester, you'll explore core Sports Rehabilitation concepts through modules like Exercise & Rehabilitation Fundamentals and Sports Injury Management, alongside essential Research Methods training to critically analyze injury-related studies. The second semester focuses on practical application with courses covering Therapeutic Interventions, Hands-on Therapy Techniques, and Musculoskeletal Evaluation, plus Strength and Conditioning Principles crucial for athlete recovery programs. The program includes integrated work placements throughout, with increasing independence during later clinical practice modules in the final year. Your studies culminate with a capstone Research Project that synthesizes your accumulated knowledge. Career opportunities Graduates emerge ready for dynamic roles in sports therapy and rehabilitation as injury specialists and exercise-based recovery experts. You'll be qualified to work in multidisciplinary healthcare teams across both public (NHS) and private sports medicine settings.
