Upon successful completion of our BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science with placement year, numerous opportunities become available. Students who complete an NHS laboratory placement in an IBMS-accredited training facility may qualify for professional registration as biomedical scientists. Those undertaking placements in other settings will be well-prepared to gain practical experience in hospital pathology labs and progress toward professional certification. Other pathways include employment in commercial or industrial laboratories, or pursuing advanced studies in human biology and disease at postgraduate or doctoral levels for careers in biomedical research.
