Earth is currently experiencing its sixth mass extinction event, primarily caused by human activities progressing at an unprecedented pace compared to historical natural environmental shifts. This program equips participants with essential knowledge and competencies to support the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals aimed at restoring ecological equilibrium by combating biodiversity decline. By exploring the complex relationships between wildlife health, animal behavior, illegal activities, and human-wildlife tensions, the course offers a distinctive perspective on conservation and ecosystem restoration. Participants will engage in responsible travel practices while gaining international experience, advancing from UK-based field instruction to conducting research in Africa's savannah game reserves and Borneo's tropical rainforests.
