Ranked among the UK's top ten departments, Exeter's Politics program offers an exceptional setting for pursuing MPhil/PhD studies in Politics and International Relations, Security, Conflict and Human Rights, or Strategy and Security. Students can choose between the Streatham Campus in Exeter and the Penryn Campus near Falmouth. With over thirty faculty members conducting internationally recognized research and more than ninety current research students, we provide a stimulating yet welcoming atmosphere to develop your academic interests. A key benefit of our comprehensive department is the ability to offer supervision across diverse subjects at both our Exeter and Cornwall locations, tailored to faculty expertise. All department academics actively participate in research groups, and postgraduate students - whether conducting independent projects or collaborating on staff-led initiatives - play vital roles within these clusters. The Public Policy and Political Theory groups additionally publish their own journals and host dedicated research seminars.
