Our MAD in History program provides supervision across diverse topics spanning from 1500 to modern times, with special emphasis on subjects aligned with our three research clusters and the Centre for Public History. These clusters explore key themes including race, gender and identity, political cultures, class and citizenship, as well as war, conflict and memory. Our specialists possess deep knowledge of these regions: Britain (incorporating local and regional history), Europe, the United States, Latin America, Russia, Southern Africa and East Asia. We are committed to delivering outstanding research training and personalized supervision in a welcoming environment, fostering strong connections between faculty and students.
The expertise gained through our History Department's program will make you highly sought-after by various employers across multiple industries.
