The BSc Marketing (including foundation year) is available to both Home and EU students. This program is ideal if your current qualifications don't meet the entry criteria for the standard three-year course, offering a pathway to build both subject expertise and academic capabilities.

Spanning four years, this course begins with a foundation year (Year Zero), followed by three additional years of study. Your foundation year includes four subject-specific modules alongside mandatory English language and academic skills training. Year Zero takes place at our Colchester Campus, with subsequent years based at our Southend Campus.

From day one, you'll join Essex's vibrant global community, studying at the UK's most internationally diverse campus university.

Upon successfully completing Year Zero through our Essex Pathways Department, you'll transition to Essex Business School to finish your degree.

This hands-on marketing program blends theoretical knowledge with practical applications, including interactive projects, teamwork, and business simulations to address contemporary marketing challenges. We'll enhance your creative thinking, analytical abilities, and strategic decision-making skills to excel in dynamic, digitally-driven global markets.
