A PhD in Health and Social Science provides an interdisciplinary approach to cutting-edge research in health and social care.
Our faculty draws expertise from diverse fields such as sociology, geography, social anthropology, social policy, and healthcare studies.
Through these lenses, we explore the intersection of research, policy, and practice in health and social services. Key research areas encompass aging, dementia, intellectual disabilities, care systems, critical care, pain management, emotional wellbeing, and healthcare service enhancement. We support projects employing various methodologies, with particular emphasis on qualitative studies, collaborative research, and innovative approaches. We actively promote investigations that bridge social and cultural health dimensions with healthcare policy and implementation frameworks.
