By joining this research field, you'll collaborate with expert academics from the Centre for the Study of World Christianity, which examines Christianity across the global south and the expanding influence of African and Asian churches in northern regions.

Faculty research covers diverse topics including Asian and African Christian theology and history, missionary history, emerging missionary movements from the global south, Pentecostalism, and contemporary missiological themes like cultural adaptation, ethnicity, gender, and interfaith dialogue.

Explore potential supervisors through the School's staff profiles, which outline research specialties, publications, and contact information.

As part of the School of Divinity, you'll join approximately 150 international research students from various religious and secular backgrounds.

You'll work in an inspiring academic setting. The 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) rated the School's research environment as 100% world-leading or internationally excellent, placing it second in the UK for theology and religious studies.
