This program culminates in Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certification for teaching students aged 11-16, enabling you to work in secondary schools across England and Wales. When opportunities arise, we also provide exposure to teaching the 11-18 age group.
Religious Education (RE) fosters religious literacy in young learners, helping them understand and value the variety of beliefs and perspectives in today's world. Training to teach RE in London allows you to explore profound, stimulating subjects with students. Your enthusiasm and innovative approach can shape lessons that encourage pupils to examine life's big questions - from the existence of God to finding meaning in life.
As an RE teacher trainee, you'll guide students toward becoming empathetic individuals who appreciate religious and cultural diversity. We take pride in our history of supporting diverse learners. While many candidates hold religious studies degrees, we encourage applications from other academic backgrounds, provided they show authentic interest in religious understanding and solid knowledge of both religious and secular traditions.
