This program develops skilled educators for the 11–16 age group while providing foundations for post-16 instruction.Established as a teacher training institution 175 years ago, UoG recently earned reaccreditation from the Department of Education (2022) for our Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programs leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).Ofsted has rated our ITT programs as 'Good', particularly noting their distinctive focus on sustainability and the University's robust school partnerships.Upon completing our secondary program, our graduates – known for their strong employability – will possess a comprehensive Early Career Teacher Toolkit to support their ongoing professional development.
