This program equips experienced educators to profoundly influence children throughout their schooling and future lives. As a teacher for ages 3-7, you'll be instrumental in sparking children's enthusiasm for learning, with particular emphasis on supporting students with SEND. These formative years establish critical educational foundations, making this role both intellectually stimulating and rewarding as you build connections with each child and cultivate optimal learning environments. Created through strong collaborations with East Anglian primary schools and Early Years providers, our Primary PGCE prepares you to become a skilled, confident educator specializing in special educational needs. Graduates earn Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) plus 90 Master's credits upon completing this intensive September-to-July program. The curriculum blends substantial school experience (minimum 120 placement days across two contrasting schools, including SEND-focused settings) with up to 60 days of instructional sessions. Our philosophy centers on truly understanding children as the foundation for effective teaching. We develop thoughtful, inspiring educators who appreciate students' diverse backgrounds. You'll gain expertise in lesson planning, assessment, behavior management, and collaborative teaching approaches for Foundation Years (Nursery/Reception) and Key Stage 1 (Years 1-2), with specialized SEND training.
