This primary teacher training program is tailored for graduates dedicated to pursuing a career in primary education. It prepares you to instruct children aged five to eleven, with potential eligibility for substantial tax-free training bursaries.
During your training, you'll master teaching the full primary curriculum while specializing in a specific area. The Primary PGCE with English and Drama specialization equips you with advanced skills and confidence to potentially lead in these subjects within primary schools.
The program focuses on developing competent classroom teachers. Upon completion, you'll be capable of effectively teaching all primary subjects to a full class of 30 students.
Graduates emerge with exceptional subject knowledge and the ability to create dynamic lesson plans that foster student progress.
The initial five weeks are primarily spent at our specialized education facility, focusing on teaching methodologies and curriculum content.
You'll enhance your expertise across all subjects while learning strategies to support diverse student learning needs.
Through collaborations with regional schools and local authorities, we address local teacher shortages, with many graduates securing positions at partner institutions. Some trainees receive job offers directly from their placement schools.
Educational authorities consistently praise our trainees' quality, with OFSTED's 2012 report highlighting one school's commendation: "They arrive classroom-ready and well-equipped to handle teaching demands."
