Dietitians are uniquely qualified as registered health professionals to evaluate, identify, and address nutritional and dietary concerns. They apply cutting-edge public health findings and scientific studies about nutrition's role in wellness and illness, converting complex information into actionable advice to help individuals achieve their dietary objectives.
The field of dietetics offers diverse career paths, including positions in the NHS, private practices, public health sectors, food manufacturing, sports nutrition, and media. Professionals may work with hospitalized patients, in clinical environments, care facilities, or through home visits. Responsibilities range from assisting children with diabetes management to supporting cancer patients experiencing appetite loss during treatment, or developing specialized feeding plans for those unable to meet nutritional needs through regular food intake.
Our program equips students through specialized interdisciplinary coursework and hands-on NHS placements. Launched in February 2022, our MSc Dietetics holds accreditation from both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Dietetic Association (BDA), fully aligning with the updated BDA 2020 curriculum standards.
