This Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry program is ideal if you possess a solid chemistry foundation and are eager to apply it to biological research.

Biochemists can significantly influence various modern scientific fields, from healthcare and nutrition to sustainable energy and environmental solutions. Notably, biochemists often receive the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

The curriculum covers essential biology and chemistry principles that form the basis of biochemistry. Students can then select from diverse modules including molecular biology, pharmaceutical chemistry, genetic studies, protein manipulation, and microbial biotechnological applications.

A Levels
ABB including Chemistry. A-Level General Studies and Critical Thinking are not accepted. Where applicable Science A Levels awarded by an English Exam board require a pass in the practical element. If you are taking an EPQ and three A levels we may offer you a one grade reduction on our advertised typical offer alongside an A in the EPQ.
T Levels
Obtain an overall Pass including a B in the core of the T Level and a Distinction in the Occupational Specialism. Acceptable subjects are: Health, Healthcare Science & Science.
BTEC
DDM in Applied Science or Applied Science (Medical Science) OR DDM plus B in A Level Chemistry. See below for accepted subjects and combinations.
