This Bachelor of Science program equips you with hands-on expertise for a biochemistry career, along with comprehensive understanding of biomolecules, metabolic pathways, and biological information systems. The undergraduate curriculum includes an optional 15-week professional placement.
By exploring life at molecular, cellular, and organismal levels, biochemistry sheds light on longstanding biological mysteries that have intrigued scientists for decades.
Our program addresses the increasing demand for skilled biochemists. You'll acquire essential laboratory techniques, research methodologies, and analytical capabilities for professional success. The curriculum builds strong foundations in applied biology and medicinal chemistry, with opportunities for practical application.
Instruction occurs in our cutting-edge Science Center, featuring 280 workstations and specialized facilities including tissue culture and microbiology labs. Under faculty mentorship, you'll gain valuable laboratory experience working alongside leading researchers.
