This art history program merges with museum and gallery studies, covering their history, theory, and practical aspects. Students will explore artworks spanning from ancient times to contemporary pieces worldwide, examining diverse artistic expressions. The curriculum also addresses current challenges in galleries and museums, equipping students with professional skills for careers in art and cultural heritage.
Participants can engage directly with the renowned Sainsbury Centre art collection, gaining hands-on experience with artifacts while studying collection practices, exhibition strategies, and audience engagement. Instruction comes from multidisciplinary experts who foster varied perspectives on art, material culture, and presentation methods.
