Drawing from world-class research, our BA (Hons) History of Art and Museum Studies program is delivered in the prestigious John Lennon Art and Design Building and provides exceptional global internship experiences.
Students can explore specific artworks and artists in depth according to their interests. The flexible curriculum even allows you to tailor your studies - whether focusing on contemporary art for most assessments or concentrating on museum placements if pursuing a curatorial career.
While we partner with numerous regional galleries and museums, our special relationship with Tate Liverpool stands out. You'll gain hands-on experience with their collections and learn directly from professional curators about working in the field. Liverpool boasts more museums and galleries than any UK city outside London, making it an ideal location for art history and museum studies.
