Our BSc in Museum and Archaeological Object Conservation provides the essential skills needed to become a professional conservator. Graduates of this program will gain the ability to create, implement, document, and report evidence-based preservation approaches for historical and archaeological artifacts.
We focus on conserving museum objects with historical and archaeological significance, employing both preventive and interventive conservation methods. All instruction is grounded in the cultural background of the artifacts students work with—authentic museum pieces. While treating these objects, you'll account for the requirements of owners as well as present and future users when planning conservation approaches.
From the very first day, you'll have hands-on experience in our labs, which are equipped with cutting-edge conservation tools and scientific instruments.
This program develops versatile skills including academic writing, imaging techniques, hands-on conservation work, communication, and analytical equipment operation. Combined, these competencies produce graduates capable of applying evidence-based reasoning to achieve cultural heritage preservation goals.
