After successfully completing an induction year in a school setting (Teaching Induction Scheme), you'll earn certification to teach English across Scotland.

The curriculum blends two campus-based learning modules with three practical school placements, providing essential classroom experience and skills development. You'll examine theoretical approaches to teaching English language and literature to students of various ages, with particular emphasis on enhancing learners' literacy skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The program also includes instruction on effectively supporting students' numeracy, health, and well-being.
