To enroll in the MSc program, you must hold an undergraduate degree. The course is located in Kirkcaldy, Fife's second-largest town, situated 30 miles from Dundee. Our Kirkcaldy Campus offers a close-knit community atmosphere and features its own clinical skills facility. We maintain strong partnerships with NHS Fife, where you'll undertake most of your practical placements. Mental health nursing involves supporting individuals across various environments, addressing diverse mental health needs. MSc students will conduct a dissertation on a subject of their choice. Given that many people face mental health challenges at some point in their lives, this program equips you with the skills to aid their recovery journey. You'll develop both practical abilities and theoretical knowledge, graduating as a skilled and self-assured professional. The training covers multiple work environments, including urban hospitals, rural areas, and home-based care. Your time will be evenly split between campus learning in Kirkcaldy and clinical placements, where you'll acquire essential healthcare competencies. Our clinical skills center provides hands-on experience in mental health nursing. Upon completion, you'll receive both an academic credential and professional accreditation from the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
A UK Ordinary (non-honours) degree, Students also will need Mathematics at National 5 Grade C, GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent. English Language requirements -Students need to have IELTS score of 6.5, TOEFL overall score of 95.
