This program unites professionals from various fields (healthcare workers, designers, business experts, nonprofit leaders, etc.) who share a commitment to enhancing health and wellbeing. Participants contribute their unique experiences and abilities while collaborating to develop inventive approaches to sector challenges.
Students will gain from the interdisciplinary knowledge of the University of Dundee's Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, School of Medicine, and School of Health Sciences. The V&A Dundee's Design for Business team also enhances the design curriculum. The program fosters skill development through cross-disciplinary teamwork and guidance from field specialists.
The curriculum examines fundamental healthcare and design principles, establishing a framework for subsequent modules where students implement acquired skills. Participants will engage directly with healthcare environments to gain profound understanding, recognize sector needs, and formulate solutions - which may include products, spaces, services, or systems.
Our extensive network includes prestigious local and international healthcare facilities like the world-renowned Ninewells Hospital, providing authentic learning environments. State-of-the-art resources also enable students to develop and prototype both physical and digital solutions.
