Pursuing a medical degree provides a direct route to becoming a physician, but what if you want to delve deeper into a specialized subject or focus on laboratory research or theoretical aspects of medicine? An intercalated degree offers this opportunity. During this program, you'll dedicate a year to exploring a chosen field, enabling you to:
expand your knowledge about potential career paths after graduation
acquire valuable transferable skills, particularly in research
develop specialized expertise in an area that fascinates you
This intercalated program provides comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy through dissecting Thiel-embalmed cadavers at our Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification (CAHID). These specially preserved cadavers maintain lifelike characteristics such as natural coloration, tissue texture, and flexibility. Working with them helps cultivate practical abilities - particularly beneficial for those considering surgical careers after completing their studies.
