Today's environment is undergoing profound transformation due to breakthroughs in biotechnology, computing, and climate shifts. Bio-Integrated Design uses these transformative forces as a springboard to investigate bold, advanced, yet thoughtful design approaches that will define tomorrow's world. Participants will master combining scientific procedures with cyclical design techniques, employing cutting-edge simulation and fabrication tools. The curriculum also covers applying progress in life sciences and material sciences to develop groundbreaking habitats. This course particularly suits science graduates with bachelor's degrees in biology, biotechnology, synthetic biology, or various engineering disciplines. Those from different technical fields with proven iGEM or biohacking expertise are also encouraged to apply.

Qualification Requirements
A minimum of a second-class UK degree in an appropriate subject or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. A design/creative portfolio is also expected. Applicants will be asked to submit a portfolio of their design work along with a short piece of writing once their completed application has been received, and should not send or upload work until it has been requested. The English language level for this programme is: Level 1
UCL Pre-Master's and Pre-sessional English courses are for international students who are aiming to study for a postgraduate degree at UCL. The courses will develop your academic English and academic skills required to succeed at postgraduate level. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Version - Overall score of 6.5 and a minimum of 6.0 in each component.
