This Master of Research (MRes) program is designed for individuals seeking professional careers in neuroimaging, whether in clinical settings or neuroscience research. The interdisciplinary curriculum offers instruction in both the fundamental scientific concepts and technological foundations of contemporary neuroimaging techniques, along with their practical implementation for studying neurological functions and disorders. Through selected modules, students can acquire essential neuroanatomy knowledge, grasp core principles and technical aspects of neuroimaging equipment and data collection, learn fundamental image processing and analysis methods, and develop practical expertise in modern approaches for scientific and clinical examination of the human nervous system through neuroimaging. The program emphasizes skills in critically evaluating scientific literature, applying appropriate statistical techniques, and complying with ethical standards and regulatory requirements governing neuroimaging research.

Qualification Requirements

A minimum of a second-class UK Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard is required. Students with other qualifications may also be admitted if they possess relevant experience in a field related to neuroradiology and/or medical physics. The English language level for this programme is: Level 1

UCL Pre-Master's and Pre-sessional English courses are for international students who are aiming to study for a postgraduate degree at UCL. The courses will develop your academic English and academic skills required to succeed at postgraduate level.

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Version - Overall score of 6.5 and a minimum of 6.0 in each component. Applicants may take the IELTS Academic Online test to meet the requirement. IELTS Indicator may be accepted if it was taken within the acceptable time frame.
Applicants may take the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition test to meet the requirements. TOEFL Overall score of 92 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening
