The MSc in Audiological Science is designed for science graduates seeking to expand their expertise in audiology. This program emphasizes the study of hearing and balance systems, covering their anatomy, physiology, disorders, and diagnostic methods. Students will receive instruction from leading specialists at the UCL Ear Institute, Europe's premier multidisciplinary hub for hearing and deafness research, while acquiring hands-on clinical and laboratory training. Our curriculum benefits from the knowledge of experienced NHS and private sector clinicians, including those from the affiliated Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals. The course explores the origins of hearing and balance impairments, diagnostic techniques for these conditions, and rehabilitation strategies for affected individuals. Students will master both the clinical applications and the scientific foundations, including acoustics and the structure and function of auditory and vestibular mechanisms.
