The MPhil/PhD program at SSEES provides students with the opportunity to study in central London while gaining from diverse academic perspectives spanning humanities and social sciences. Qualification Requirements

A minimum of an upper second-class UK Bachelor's degree, and usually a Master's degree in a relevant subject, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Students intending to seek Research Council funding are required to undertake a Master's degree first. The English language level for this programme is: Level 2

UCL Pre-Master's and Pre-sessional English courses are for international students who are aiming to study for a postgraduate degree at UCL. The courses will develop your academic English and academic skills required to succeed at postgraduate level. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Version - Overall score of 7.0 and a minimum of 6.5 in each component. Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Overall score of 96 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 22/30 in speaking and listening.
