The Department of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS) fosters a dynamic and welcoming research community.
POLSIS has emerged as a leading hub for political science, political economy, comparative politics, political theory, international relations, and security and conflict studies. Our scholarly work focuses on specialized research groups and clusters that engage in numerous collaborative projects.
By pursuing a PhD in Political Science and International Studies, you'll work on innovative research projects under expert supervision within a stimulating academic setting, culminating in an 80,000-word dissertation. During your first year, you'll complete research training modules and may participate in additional departmental or university courses to develop both subject-specific expertise and versatile professional skills.
