Our MPhil/PhD program offers students the opportunity to conduct independent research projects that advance knowledge in education and related fields. Participants collaborate with academic communities across our department and IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and Society, while taking advantage of the extensive IOE Research Training Program. The program accommodates both in-person and online study formats. Ideal candidates possess a deep interest in educational and social research, which may encompass lifelong learning, interdisciplinary connections, and broader societal transformations. Qualification Requirements
The normal minimum requirement is a Master's degree from a UK university in a subject appropriate to the programme to be followed, or a qualification of equivalent standard appropriate to the programme to be followed awarded by a university (or educational institution of university rank) outside the UK. The majority of our successful applicants hold a Merit at Master's level, and may have additional relevant experience. The English language level for this programme is: Level 4
UCL Pre-Master's and Pre-sessional English courses are for international students who are aiming to study for a postgraduate degree at UCL. The courses will develop your academic English and academic skills required to succeed at postgraduate level. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Version - Overall score of 7.5 and a minimum of 7.0 in each component. Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Overall score of 109 with 27/30 in reading and writing and 23/30 in speaking and listening.
