In today's globalized business and financial landscape, proficiency in a foreign language can greatly improve your professional opportunities. This Bachelor of Science program provides comprehensive statistical training alongside economics courses and foreign language studies (options include Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, or Spanish). Accredited by the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), the program allows graduates with second-class honors or higher to obtain Graduate Statistician (GradStat) status, provided at least half of their second and third-year modules focus on statistics. Our teaching benefits from faculty members' diverse research expertise, spanning from statistical theory to its practical applications across science, medicine, industry, economics, and finance. The department fosters a welcoming, supportive environment with small class sizes and personalized attention for every student. UCL's Center for Languages & International Education (CLIE) provides extensive resources, featuring a DVD collection, language lab, computer-assisted learning tools, satellite TV, and access to reference books, journals, and newspapers.
