Our degree program in Serbo-Croatian and Yiddish provides exceptional opportunities for cultivating comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from an extensive array of modules covering literature, linguistic studies, historical contexts, sociological aspects, philosophical traditions, artistic expressions, cinematic works, and other cultural elements tied to the languages they'll master. During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage with language courses in their selected tongues alongside complementary cultural studies. The curriculum also incorporates interdisciplinary offerings from the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS) and the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES), exploring connections between literature, film studies, linguistics, and historical analysis.
