Our degree program in Serbo-Croatian and Swedish provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from an extensive array of modules covering literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, art, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. Additionally, they may enroll in interdisciplinary courses offered by SELCS and SSEES, exploring literature, film studies, linguistics, and history through multiple lenses.
The third year involves studying abroad, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. Learners will attain equivalent language proficiency regardless of whether they begin as complete beginners or with prior knowledge of the language.
