The Scandinavian Studies and Latin program provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from an extensive array of modules covering literature, linguistic heritage, historical studies, social sciences, philosophical thought, artistic expression, cinema, and various cultural aspects connected to their chosen Scandinavian language(s).
During the first, second, and final academic years, students will enroll in courses focused on their selected Scandinavian language, along with related studies in literature, cultural context, historical background, and linguistic analysis. Complementary modules in Latin (additional details available through the Latin Department) will also form part of the curriculum.
The program additionally offers access to interdisciplinary courses from the School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS), leveraging the institution's diverse academic expertise.
