This unique and adaptable program offers extensive opportunities to tailor your degree to your passions while achieving near-fluency in both a primary and secondary language. Centered on cultural studies and sociolinguistics, the curriculum enables you to investigate diverse subjects from cinema to historical contexts, and from gender studies to translation theory. During your first, second, and final academic years, you'll engage with coursework in your selected primary and secondary languages, along with their associated literature, cultural aspects, historical backgrounds, and linguistic features. Additionally, you can choose interdisciplinary modules from the School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS), leveraging the institution's wide-ranging expertise.
Your third year will be spent overseas on an academic exchange in a nation where your primary language is predominantly spoken.
