Our combined Italian and Jewish Studies program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, historical analysis, sociological perspectives, philosophical inquiry, artistic traditions, cinematic studies, and various cultural aspects tied to the languages being studied. During the first, second, and final years, learners will undertake Italian language courses alongside complementary modules in literature, film studies, cultural analysis, or historical contexts, while simultaneously pursuing their specialization in Jewish Studies.
The third year involves international study in an Italian-speaking nation. By the conclusion of this year abroad, all students are expected to attain equivalent language proficiency, irrespective of whether they began as complete beginners or with prior Italian language experience.
