Scotland's linguistic and cultural evolution presents a rich tapestry. Formed through the convergence of Celtic, Germanic, and Norse influences, Scotland has maintained its multicultural character, currently sustaining three principal literary tongues: Gaelic, Scots, and English. Your studies will span diverse works - from Gaelic Revival poetry to contemporary Scottish crime novels, from Scottish Gothic literature to modern Scottish society.
