Our Finnish and German degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and intercultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse modules covering literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, art, cinema, and various cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. Additionally, they may enroll in interdisciplinary modules from SELCS and SSEES, exploring literature, film, linguistics, and history through multiple lenses.
The third year involves studying abroad, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. Learners attain equivalent language proficiency regardless of whether they begin a new language or continue prior studies.
