Our Danish and Finnish degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate profound, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse modules covering literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, art, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s). During the first, second, and final years, participants will engage in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. Additionally, they may enroll in interdisciplinary modules from the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS), exploring literature, film, linguistics, and history through multiple lenses.
The third year involves studying abroad, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. Learners will attain equivalent language proficiency regardless of beginning as novices or with prior experience in the language.
