Our degree program in Czech and Portuguese provides exceptional opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from an extensive array of modules spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their chosen language(s).
During the first, second, and final years, students will enroll in language courses for their selected languages alongside cultural studies modules. They may also opt for interdisciplinary courses offered by SELCS, exploring connections between literature, film, linguistics, and history.
The third year involves international study, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. All students attain equivalent language proficiency, whether beginning a new language or building upon prior knowledge.
