Students begin by enrolling in the PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) program, with their status remaining provisional until completing the first Annual Review, typically occurring 12 to 18 months after initial registration.
Program length
The standard duration for doctoral research is three years. However, exceptional students demonstrating accelerated progress may request approval from the University Research Committee to submit their thesis after just two years.
The university also evaluates part-time study applications, approving them when appropriate teaching resources exist.
