The Master of Arts in French and British Decorative Arts and Historic Interiors is a collaborative program between The University of Buckingham and The Wallace Collection.

This distinctive program features extensive gallery-based instruction and practical examination of furnishings, silverware, textiles, and ceramics, often within their original historical settings. Located in central London, the course utilizes the exceptional collections of the neighboring Wallace Collection and Victoria and Albert Museum, along with insights from Wallace Collection curators and other expert contributors. Visit our Academic Staff Page for more information.

By concentrating on direct engagement with decorative arts in historical spaces, the program delivers both professional preparation and scholarly training, equipping graduates for careers in museums, interior design, antique trade, and auction houses. Alumni have secured positions at prestigious institutions including the Royal Collection, Wallace Collection, Rienza MFA Houston, National Trust, English Heritage, and Christie's. The MA also serves as strong preparation for doctoral studies in Art History or related fields.
