The School of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience boasts a global reputation for outstanding research in cardiovascular biology, neuroscience, and cellular signaling. The school receives strong funding support through program and project grants, notably from the Medical Research Council (MRC), Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), Wellcome Trust, Cancer Research UK, and British Heart Foundation (BHF). This funding creates a stimulating research atmosphere. Our offerings include three- or four-year PhD programs as well as one-year Masters by Research (MScR) opportunities.

A first or upper second-class honours degree (or international equivalent) in a biomedical science discipline is required for entry to the PhD programme. IELTS: 6.5 with 6.5 in all skills; TOEFL iBT: 88 overall with R22, L21, S23, W22; skills.
