Our MSci program is perfect for those pursuing research careers or seeking a competitive edge for PhD applications.
During the first year, you'll explore the biology of both healthy and cancerous cells, while also covering immunology, pathology, microbiology, and biochemistry.
The second year delves into cancer's molecular foundations and treatments, along with autoimmune disorders like multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and arthritis. You'll also examine virus-related cancers and choose from elective courses including molecular genetics.
Hands-on learning in years one and two is enhanced by our innovative eBiolabs digital laboratory manual.
You'll then advance to a research project or dissertation, potentially working in our Biomedical Sciences facilities or hospital labs, with opportunities for publication in scientific journals.
The fourth year features an in-depth research project and professional skills development, focusing on project management, science communication, and research commercialization.
The School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine bridges scientific discovery and medical application, preparing students for impactful careers in translational research.
