This program enables you to merge two traditionally connected fields while cultivating diverse skills in both economics and philosophy.
Economics provides technical rigor and enhances your analytical abilities. Required coursework covers macroeconomics, microeconomics, mathematics, statistics, and econometrics (using statistical techniques to analyze economic models). These are paired with philosophy units that develop capabilities in textual interpretation, written and oral communication, logical reasoning, and critical analysis.
Throughout your studies, you'll gain more flexibility to choose elective courses and focus on your preferred specialization areas.
Past economics electives have included: Economic Thought History, Environmental Economics, Data Science, Contemporary Economic Issues. Previous philosophy offerings have covered: Democratic Theory, Psychology Philosophy, Concepts of Evil, Deviance and Criminality, Mathematics Philosophy.
