We focus on cultivating your abilities as an independent thinker: you'll actively practice philosophy rather than just studying it. You'll receive guidance to examine challenging issues with critical and creative thinking in an open, cooperative environment, including sensitive and contentious subjects. Throughout your studies, you'll interact with pioneering research and collaborate with faculty to gain understanding in emerging fields. Our faculty's knowledge spans diverse philosophical subjects and schools of thought. You'll establish a strong foundation in core philosophical disciplines like ethics, epistemology, and philosophy of mind, while also exploring specialized areas such as aesthetics, feminist philosophy, and phenomenology. Numerous courses directly connect to current societal issues, demonstrating the practical application of philosophical concepts. This culminates in your final year with a capstone project where you'll implement your philosophical expertise to devise solutions for genuine ethical or social challenges. Upon graduation, you'll possess valuable professional competencies including teamwork, articulate communication, and analytical reasoning. You'll also gain profound insight into modern ethical and social dilemmas affecting society and various industries, equipped with both the conceptual tools and self-assurance to address them.
