Our Geoscience MRes program offers the chance to engage in meaningful earth sciences research while building the theoretical and hands-on expertise required for a thriving career in geoscience.
You'll have opportunities to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams across geoscience fields, working alongside disciplines like ecology, geography, and engineering. Tailor your studies to focus on earth science topics that captivate you, ranging from igneous petrology and geochemistry to marine geology, tectonic geomorphology, remote sensing, and hydrogeology.
Utilizing our specialized facilities, you'll conduct your research project under the guidance of faculty experts in your chosen field. You'll be connected to our research centers—the Centre for Aquatic Environments and Centre for Earth Observation Science—or to research groups in Applied Geosciences and Past Human and Environment Dynamics, while also benefiting from our partnerships with global institutions.
